What is Electrospraying?

The Spraybase® Electrospray Starter Kit contains all the components needed to make and visualise a repeatable Taylor coned electrospray in order to generate particles in the nano and micro range.

This system is ideal for those who are comfortable using the traditional method of the syringe pump while at the same time having the capability of the pressure over fluid system. Two collectors are also provided which are interchangeable for those wishing to create both fibers and particles. In addition if you purchase a co-axial emitter you can make core-shell encapsulated particles.

METHOD OF FLUID CONTROL

WHY

Spraybase® recommends our pressure driven fluid system to control the flow rate for your experiments due to the superior control over the conventional syringe pump.

 

ADVANTAGES

  • Zero dead volume therefore ideal for precious materials and small quantities.
  • Superior control over the flow rate especially for low viscous solutions.
  • A continuous flow unlike the syringe pump which would have a pulsatile effect from the mechanics of the motor.
